Doubles
On Saturday, Eastern competed in the Saturday Sign Up consolation round. Taylor Andersen and Kenzington Mann joined up to defeat Seattle's Mireia Fehr and Lola Tavcar, 8-4. The Eagles other duo on Saturday, Isabella Foshee and Leandra NIzetic, defeated Claire Galerkin and Madeleine Page from UC Davis in an 8-2 victory.
In the Sunday Sign Up consolation round, Andersen and Mann defeated Saint Mary's Gabriela Tevez and Jamie Pope, 8-3.
Singles
In the singles consolation round, Isabella Foshee earned a 3-6, 6-3(10-7) win over Sacramento State's Tsveti Yotova. Kenzington Mann topped Santa Clara's Kacey Feng, 6-4, 6-2.
The Eagles found success in the Sunday Sign Up consolation round as well. Mann earned her second win of the Regionals against Saint Mary's Jamie Pope, 6-2, 6-2. Foshee knocked off Saint Mary's Stefanie Silva, battling through another tiebreaker for the win[6-1, 5-7(10-8)]. Leandra Nizetic defeated Leann Serna from Fresno State, 7-5, 6-3 to get the freshman a win for the weekend.
Up Next
Eastern Washington will have a week off before its next competition. Eastern will compete at the Gonzaga Tournament in Spokane from Friday, Oct. 28 to Sunday, Oct. 30.
