The Mets capped off their first sweep of the year Sunday night by walking off the Phillies in 10 innings. Eduardo Escobar drove in Starling Marte with a single for the game-winning run, after Nick Plummer tied the game in the ninth with his first big-league home run. The Mets are now 32-17 on the year and hold an 8.5-game lead over the second-place Braves.
The Nationals come to Citi Field for a three-game set tonight, David Peterson (2-0, 2.16 ERA) will face off against Erick Fedde (3-3, 3.55 ERA). First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm EST.

The Mets acquired infielder JT Riddle from the Cincinnati Reds. The left-handed-hitting Riddle only appeared in two games in Cincinnati and was hitting just .206 with three homers for Triple-A Louisville. He will report to Syracuse and won’t be on the 40-man roster.
Drew Smith exited the seventh inning of Sunday’s game after taking a comebacker off his pitching hand, leaving him with a dislocated pinky. X-rays came back negative for a fracture, and he is considered day-to-day.
