As an actress, writer, podcaster, model, and influencer with over 1.5 million followers on Instagram alone, Julia Fox has certainly led an interesting life that has brought her in contact with all sorts of people.

On her podcast, Forbidden Fruits, she frequently shares juicy details from that life, and yet she is only known for a few public romantic relationships—one of which brought her the true love of her life, her son, Valentino.

Here’s Fox’s complete dating history so far, based on what she’s been willing to share.

Peter Artemiev: 2018-2021

Fox’s longest known relationship was with Peter Artemiev, a private pilot from Brooklyn. They were married after dating for only one month in November 2018. In a January 2022 episode of her podcast, Forbidden Fruits, with co-host Niki Takesh, Fox described the quickie wedding.

“At the Little White Wedding Chapel [in Las Vegas], nobody knew, I was dressed like a cowgirl,” Fox said. “And [Artemiev] wore cowboy boots, we looked so fucking cute. We were so in love. I literally dreamed him up and manifested him, like as a city girl from Manhattan, I always wanted to date a Russian guy from Coney Island.”

She added, “I was single for like four years prior to [dating Artemiev], and no guy could even get close to me. That man fucking locked it down and married me in a month.”

Artemiev filed for divorce in February 2020. Us Weekly reported that their separation was finalized in July 2020. However, they maintained some sort of off-and-on relationship throughout the process of separation, as their son, Valentino, was born on Jan. 17, 2021. They also made some appearances together as a family after Valentino’s birth.

Their breakup got a little messy and public in 2021 when Fox wrote about some of her issues with Artemiev on an Instagram Story. In January 2022, Fox told The Cut that she had regrets about the online accusations she made.

“I wanted to scare him into being a better dad, but I went about it the wrong way,” she explained. “My son’s dad loves his son more than anything in the world. He just has some issues that I shouldn’t have made public.”

She also apologized on Forbidden Fruits. She shared on the show that the birth of their son exposed even more issues in their relationship.

“He just really did not step up to the plate in the way that I wanted,” she said. “I feel like he was kind of meant to deliver me my son, in a weird way.”

It was rumored that after her divorce, Fox had a fling with rapper Drake. A few years later, she downplayed their connection. In February 2022, Fox was linked romantically to Kanye West, who had a bit of a feud going with the Canadian musician at the time. Fox said on Forbidden Fruits that she told West about the previous link with Drake “right away.”

“Like, I wouldn’t say that we were dating,” she stated. “[Drake is] a great guy and a gentleman, and that was it. Nothing really happened. We were just, like, friends hanging out.”

Fox added that it was “fully two years ago,” implying it wasn’t too important.

In January 2023, it seemed like Fox gave a few hints about what hanging out means with Drake on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The Uncut Gems actress was asked by a viewer what the best celebrity date she’s ever been on was.

“Being on a private jet, cuddled on the jet, landed, got some Chanel bags,” Fox answered. “It was great, yeah.”

Host Andy Cohen asked who it was actually with, and she said, “I can’t say. I really can’t say...obviously an A-lister.”

Then, during the WWHL After Show, Cohen specifically asked if it was Drake.

“Maybe,” she said. “Shouldn’t have given me that shot.”

Kanye West: 2022

One of Fox’s most publicized relationships was with rapper Kanye West, who had recently split from his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Fox and West were first seen on a night out at New York City’s Carbone on Saturday, January 1. A source told Us Weekly at the time that they were “having fun” on a “casual” date. West “wanted to get to know her better” and reached out via mutual friends.

On January 6, Fox wrote a piece for Interview Magazine about a whirlwind night with West.

“His energy is so fun to be around. He had me and my friends laughing, dancing, and smiling all night,” Fox wrote, adding he surprised her with a hotel room full of new clothes. “I’m still in shock. Ye had an entire hotel suite full of clothes. It was every girl’s dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment. I don’t know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time. But I was so surprised. Like, who does things like this on a second date? Or any date!”

On her Jan. 13, 2022 episode of Forbidden Fruits, Fox talked more about how they connected.

“I feel like, to the people who know us both personally, like, all the people that we have in common, like, friends in common, have texted me like, ‘Oh, my God, this makes so much sense,’” she said, before addressing rumors that their dating was just a “PR stunt.”

“There’s always people that think every single celebrity scandal is a setup,” she said. “I personally don’t. Listen, for right now, I’m just living in the moment, and I don’t have any expectations—there’s no labels, none of that. It’s just people that make each other feel better.”

After two months of dating, West and Fox parted ways in February. A rep for Fox told Us Weekly at the time, “Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators, but they are no longer together.”

Fox shared more about the experience later that year in an interview with ES magazine.

“It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it or energy,” she said. “I don’t have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I’m proud of myself for that. [Before having my son, Valentino, I] would have definitely stuck it out and been there for longer.”

She added that she “tapped out” of the relationship “at the first sign of a red flag.”

In her October 2023 memoir, Down the Drain, she shared that the rapper offered to pay for her to have a “boob job” at one point and that she was turned off when he began to try and control her wardrobe. She also alleged he leaked photos of their dates to the press.

In an interview with The New York Times promoting the memoir, Fox stated that “there, like, wasn’t any” sex between herself and West.

“It wasn’t really about that,” Fox said.
