How badly is Bud Light still reeling from its disastrous move to partner with trans extremist Dylan Mulvaney?
The brand’s literally having to give beer away in an effort to salvage 4th of July sales, with a $15 rebate on purchases of up to $15.
That follows months of falling sales that toppled the brew from its long-held No. 1 spot in the US and burned tens of billions in the market value for parent company Anheuser-Busch amid a ginormous (and funny!) backlash on social media and boycotts by big names.
All because a woke Ivy grad working in marketing decided to inject lefty politics into a smooth-drinking domestic lager’s image — previously the purest distillation of nonpartisan, all-embracing good times.
Yes, it seems odd that a seemingly super-solid brand like Bud Light (once the beer of choice for millions of barbecuing dads across America) could be knocked into a tailspin by one bad ad call.
Yet this perfect storm from a flapping butterfly proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that people hate having woke BS rammed down their throats.
And that even the famously “live and let live culture” of average Americans can be energized to sustained, serious activism when would-be prog overlords start beating them over the head.
Amazingly, Bud still has not learned its lesson.
The brand recently served as a sponsor of Toronto Pride, which included events where naked adults cavorted in the faces of kids and families.
Amazing: Even when wokism’s killing the company, the management ranks can’t stop virtue-signaling a great beer name to dust.
