The Kansas City Chiefs looked like the reigning champs for all of 2020 and won all but two games in their regular season campaign. They had plenty of their usual nail biters but pulled through far more often than not to pull off come-from-behind wins.
The Chiefs’ offense was as dynamic as ever with Patrick Mahomes running the show. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce both eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns en route to a 15-1 season and Clyde Edwards-Helaire looked like one of the NFL’s better rookie running backs before Kansas City added Le’Veon Bell.
The Chiefs look into adding several defensive playmakers over the offseason. Cornerbacks and linebackers make sense for Kansas City but it wouldn't be surprising to see more offense prioritized.
2021 opponents
The Kansas City Chiefs will face their AFC West divisional opponents six times, half at home and half on the road. In addition, they draw matchups against all for teams from the AFC North and NFC East. The NFL is expected to add a 17th game to the regular season schedule that will feature an inter-conference matchup with a similarly placed team. The Chiefs would face the NFC North.
