We’re less than four hours away from kick-off between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham in the Premier League, and we still don’t know whether the match will actually take place or not. Spurs and Fulham officials are apparently waiting on a second round of COVID-19 tests and having a meeting to determine whether the match, which kicks off at 6 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. EST), will be able to proceed as planned.
Fulham had a number of positive COVID tests yesterday, which led to the Athletic declaring that the match was in doubt. In the meantime, the Spurs players and coaching staff are in limbo, hanging out in the stadium waiting for news.
Mourinho took to Instagram just recently showing a video of his players lounging in their training gear, waiting for the official word as to whether they’ll be playing football today or not.
“Best league in the world.” LOL.
Update: Apparently the final decision about this match will be made by the Premier League, and perhaps that’s why it’s pretty much going down to the wire.
#thfc Hearing there are still doubts over Spurs-Fulham going ahead, with final decision to be made by the Premier League. As it stands, both clubs preparing to play but waiting to hear from PL.
