Workspace Group PLC said Thursday that customer demand has improved during the first quarter of fiscal 2021, but that business activity remains significantly below pre-pandemic levels.
The business-space provider said enquiries in June rose to 765, up from 272 in April, helped by offering business center customers a 50% rent reduction up until the end of the quarter on June 30. This compares with a monthly average of 1,060 enquiries in the first quarter of fiscal 2020.
"We are encouraged to see that the level of activity continued to increase in early July," the company said.
However, utilization of business centers remains around 15% of pre-lockdown levels, it added.
