All undergraduate students must complete the COVID-19 Return to Campus Acknowledgment for Undergraduate Students by Friday, Aug. 7. Undergraduate students received an email from the Office of the University Registrar on July 20 with directions on completing the acknowledgment, which explains the university’s guiding principles and relates plans associated with the return to campus. It also describes certain guidelines and protocols that students will be required to follow and requires confirmation that students will cooperate to protect the health and safety of the Vanderbilt campus community.
As part of the acknowledgment, students agree to cooperate with Student Health, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and other university and public health authorities with regard to campus protocols, including symptom monitoring, testing, contact tracing and—if necessary—quarantine and self-isolation protocols.
As part of these protocols, it is important for the university to have students’ current contact information, including mobile phone number, as well as the information for their emergency contact person. To update their mobile phone and emergency contact information, students should access the Personal Information application in YES by Thursday, July 23. They may refer to the online user guide for instructions on how to update their contact information. Providing these details will assist the university in providing the most timely information to both students and their emergency contacts as may be needed.
For students who have selected remote-only instruction, the acknowledgment requires that students affirm and agree that they will not come to campus during the semester.
Students should open and review the instructions for logging in to Oracle Cloud and accessing and completing the module, then open and complete the COVID-19 Return to Campus Acknowledgment for Undergraduate Students course in Oracle Learning.
At the conclusion of both modules, students will be asked to acknowledge that they agree to follow all applicable Vanderbilt University guidelines related to reducing the spread of COVID-19 infection.
If a student has not completed their acknowledgment by Aug. 7, a registration hold will be placed on their record prohibiting any further schedule adjustments until the acknowledgment is complete. Any student who has not completed the acknowledgment form prior to the start of the fall term on Aug. 24 will have their registration for the fall 2020 semester canceled.
For questions or additional information or assistance, please contact the Office of the Dean of Students at deanofstudents@vanderbilt.edu.
More information about the university’s plan for the fall semester can be found on the Return to Campus website.
