The 700 block of North Casey Key Road was damaged after storms earlier this month collapsed the southbound lane
OSPREY — The emergency repairs on the public portion of North Casey Key Road are complete, Sarasota County announced on Thursday.
The 700 block of North Casey Key Road was damaged after Tropical Storm Cristobal passed through the Gulf of Mexico this month, collapsing the southbound lane.
On Wednesday, county work crews repaved the northbound lane and restored two-lane vehicle traffic. In the course of repairs, the county restored the original height of the roadway and strengthened the area by adding a final layer of flowable fill.
North Casey Key Road extends for about 1.8 miles north of the site where Casey Key Road intersects with Blackburn Point Road.
