You're definitely a millennial if you still do this dance move — and think it's cool - New York Post

Here’s one sign of aging Botox can’t fix.

Apparently, how millennials break it down on the dance floor will give away their age, according to Gen Z club rats.

A millennial named Gus admitted to making the recent, unwelcome discovery after hitting his unnamed town recently — where he encountered an enthusiastic Zoomer who poked fun at the TikToker’s more, er, mature dance moves.

“She was like, ‘You know what’s giving away your age?'” he said in a viral clip that has already amassed 2.4 million views. “She was like, ‘You keep putting your hands up.'”

Each time he would attempt to raise the roof, so to speak, the Gen Zer would police the enthusiastic dancer’s arms, telling him to stop.

“I was like, ‘I’m too old to be in this club,'” Gus lamented.

Fellow millennials — many of them practically raised by the hiphop duo Outkast, who famously demanded their fans keep things elevated at all times, in a casual manner — were outraged by the younger generation’s rewriting of the dance floor rules.

“We were literally instructed to put our hands in the air like we just don’t care. It’s our legacy,” argued one aging creature of the night.

“But how will the roof get raised?” quipped someone else.

“Everybody hands go up! And they stay there!!” another quoted the lyrics to a DJ Khaled tune.

“Being a Gen Z sounds exhausting,” criticized one user.

“So all the single ladies put your hand down,” bit back one person with a nod to Beyoncé.

“How to you point to the window then to the wall?” someone else wrote, quoting Lil Jon’s “Get Low.”

“Sir, I can not shake it like a polaroid picture with my hands glued to my sides,” joked another, referencing Outkast’s “Hey Ya!”
