Hiking New Hampshire’s 48 4,000-footers is no easy task. People will spend years trying to complete this hiking challenge which involves climbing all 48 mountains in the state that stand over 4,000 feet in elevation. But those who do complete it are in a very special club.
Every year, there is an annual meeting and awards ceremony to honor those who complete this major hiking feat. But this ceremony doesn’t just honor the people who finish all 48 4,000-footers. Turns out dogs can complete the hiking challenge as well and they get their own, very special ceremony too. Take a look at this clip from TikTok user @michelleoutside.

O.M.G Stop it! We can barely climb one mountain so the fact that these dogs hiked all 48 in New Hampshire is truly incredible. Maybe we’d be able to do it if our dogs hiked with us. Their cuteness would give us extra motivation. LOL!

Although he wasn’t shown in this particular video, a 9-year-old dog known as Woof the Pug has completed this hiking challenge. SO cool! We love this hiking challenge because we think it’s a great way to bond with your fur babies. Plus, hiking with dogs is such an incredible way for them to get exercise. Just be sure to reward them with extra treats!
