Lincoln - The Nebraska swimming and diving team swept Omaha on Friday with a well-rounded 225-74 victory. The Huskers won all 16 events with 11 different swimmers and divers achieving individual titles at the Devaney Center Natatorium.
Emily Haimes cruised to her third-straight 100 butterfly win, clocking a 56.22. The senior from London, England added a 50 freestyle win in 24.23 and contributed to a pair of relay victories. In the 400 medley relay, Madesyn Ronquillio, JoJo Randby and Lexi Kucera joined Haimes for the first win of the night.
Berkeley Livingston led a top-three sweep in the 1,000 freestyle with a 10:19.90. Molly Rosenthal finished right behind in 10:20.63, while Katelyn Kilpatrick cruised to third in 10:44.01. Rosenthal notched her first individual win of the season in the 500 freestyle, clocking a 5:05.52.
Gena Jorgenson had a successful meet, winning the 200 backstroke (2:04.49) and the 200 IM (2:06.98). The freshman from Aberdeen, S.D., added a runner-up finish in the 200 freestyle with a 1:52.66.
Madesyn Ronquillio won the 100 backstroke in 56.98 and finished as runner-up in the 200 backstroke with a 2:05.18.
Madison Lloyd completed the top-three sweep for the Big Red in both backstroke events, with a 59.66 in the 100 backstroke and a 2:07.78 in the 200 backstroke.
Maia Hall made a statement in the breaststroke events, winning the 100 breaststroke with a 1:04.52 and the 200 backstroke with a 2:19.70. Randby clocked a 1:04.61 in the 100 breaststroke to finish as runner-up.
Giulia Marchi won the 100 freestyle with a 52.49, while Shannon Stott took second with a 52.97, and Randby finished third in 53.44. Stott went on to win the 200 freestyle in 1:51.43.
In the 200 butterfly, Sarah Barton claimed the title with a 2:04.60, while Kucera finished less than 0.1 seconds behind to take second with a 2:04.68.
To cap off the night, Haimes, Randby, Kucera and Marchi teamed up in the 200 freestyle relay to win the event in 1:35.42.
In the diving well, NU took the top-three spots in the one- and three-meter. In the one-meter, Reagan Hinze won with a 116.25, Kelsey Clairmont finished second with a 114.75 and Ellee Delcamp took third with a 101.25. Clairmont won the three-meter with a 114.75, while Hinze finished as runner-up in 102.00, and Delcamp took third with a 97.50.
Nebraska will return to the pool for the mid-season Hawkeye Invitational, Dec. 1-3, in Iowa City, Iowa.
