The Blackhawks mounted a road comeback for the second straight game, scoring three straight tallies en route to a 4-2 victory on Tuesday night in Columbus.
Just 24 seconds after the Blue Jackets opened the scoring, Alex DeBrincat tied the game in the first period before Calvin de Haan and Connor Murphy added goals in the final two periods, respectively. DeBrincat added an empty-netter for insurance late as well. Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves in his fourth straight start and second consecutive victory.
BLACKHAWK OF THE GAME: In his NHL debut, Jakub Galvas wasted no time making a big impact on the team, skating 23:41 of ice time, including 6:43 of power-play time on the top unit and 1:51 on the second penalty kill unit.
STAT OF THE NIGHT: Riley Stillman picked up his sixth assist of the season and pushed his point streak to three straight games (1G, 2A), both career-best marks.
UP NEXT: Chicago returns home to face the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night, where former Blackhawk Andrew Shaw will be honored pregame for his lengthy NHL career between the two franchises (TICKETS).
GAME RECAP
CHI: 0, CBJ: 1
1st - 12:51 - Boone Jenner (Gustav Nyquist, Zach Werenski)
The home side opened up the game's scoring just past the midpoint of the first off broken coverage in the defensive end from the Blackhawks. Gustav Nyquist circled behind the net with the puck off a cycle and threw a backhanded centering feed back into the slot, where Boone Jenner had snuck to the back door behind Caleb Jones in front. Jenner put a shot into the gaping net for a 1-0 advantage.

1st - 13:15 - Alex DeBrincat (Riley Stillman)
Chicago answered 24 seconds later off an offensive-zone draw as the rebound of an Alex DeBrincat shot was cleared to the point, but not out. Riley Stillman wound up as if he were going to take a one-timer on net with the loose puck, freezing the Blue Jackets in front before delivering a slap pass to DeBrincat at the side of the net for a one-timer of his own for the 1-1 equalizer.

For the second time this season, Philipp Kurashev turned a dumped in puck into a goal, beating a foot race to a loose puck in the Blue Jackets' end, turning and finding the late-trailing Calvin de Haan in the slot. The defenseman put a wrist shot just inside the post through a Kirby Dach screen in front for his first of the season and a 2-1 lead.

The Blackhawks leadership group made it a two-goal lead in the third period off an offensive zone cycle. Home alternate captain Alex DeBrincat slid a puck along the boards to alternate captain Patrick Kane behind the net, who then found captain Jonathan Toews in the high slot. Toews looked at goal and then slid a pass to Connor Murphy, who wears the 'A' on the road, at the side of the net for a quick top-shelf snipe and a 3-1 lead.
