Businesses in North Carolina have started updating their mask guidance following Gov. Roy Cooper’s announcement lifting most mandatory mask mandates.
That means that in most settings, indoors or outdoors, the state will no longer require North Carolinians to be socially distanced or wear a mask. There will still be certain settings where masks and other safety measures will be required.
Cooper said some businesses, restaurants and venues may continue to have restrictions or mask requirements but that they no longer are mandated to do so.
