Jared Goff is still recovering from thumb surgery, which he underwent last Monday. It forced him to miss the season finale against the Cardinals, but there’s a chance he’ll be back for Saturday’s wild-card game.

He’s making progress in the rehab process and even threw in practice Wednesday. Seam McVay said he did everything the team asked of him, calling it “standard operating procedure,” which is a good sign for Goff’s health.

He’s still considered day-to-day, but at least he was able to practice in a limited capacity.

Here’s a clip of Goff throwing in practice Wednesday.

Goff wasn’t the only player on the Rams’ injury report, of course. Micah Kiser and David Edwards were also limited Wednesday, while Cam Akers was a full participant. He’s expected to be fine for Saturday.

After being listed as limited Tuesday, Joe Noteboom was a full participant today. McVay doesn’t expect the back injury to hinder his availability for Saturday.

Andrew Whitworth hasn’t been officially activated yet, but McVay said that will happen this week and he will start Saturday as long as he feels good about it. He practiced Wednesday, but because he hasn’t been activated, he wasn’t listed on the report.
