All-Time Series: LCU leads 2-0

TIPOFF
The Lubbock Christian University men's basketball team will take on the University of Texas at Tyler at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday inside the Louise Herrington Patriot Center. LCU will be trying to get to 4-0 to start a season for the first time since 2010, while UTT is still trying to get their first Lone Star Conference win of the season.

FIVE THINGS TO FOCUS ON

1 | Chap forward and reigning LSC Offensive Player of the Week Parker Hicks was the game's leading scorer and tied his season high with 24 points against the Patriots on Saturday. He was 10-16 from the field and scored 17 of those points in the second half. So far this year, he leads the Chaps and ranks No. 5 in the Lone Star Conference with 21.7 points per game, and he is also fifth in the league with 8.7 rebounds per game.

2 | UT Tyler continued to struggle with their shooting from behind the arc on Saturday, making only four of their 22 attempts (18.2 percent). They rank dead-last in the LSC for three-point field goal percentage with a season average of 23.1 percent (24-104).

3 | Lubbock Christian has gotten at least one double-double performance in their first three games, with four recorded overall. Rowan Mackenzie was the first Chaparral to get two double-doubles, recording his second on Saturday with a career-high 22 points and 10 rebounds. The Australia native was 9-11 in the win over the Patriots, giving him a season field goal percentage of 65.2 (15-23) for the season, which is the second-best mark in the LSC.

4 | Cameron Copley had a season-high 11 points on Saturday, but also dished out eight assists in the win. He is currently leading the league in assists per game at 8.3 and is a major reason why the Chaps are second in the LSC in assists per game as a team with 18.67.

5 | Emanuel Gant was the Patriots' top performer in the first game between these two teams, scoring 11 points with 11 rebounds while adding in five assists, four steals and three blocks. For the season. It was his first game to reach the double-digit scoring mark and his second game with at least 10 rebounds for the Patriots.

THE SERIES WITH UT TYLER
Saturday's game was just the second ever between the Chaps and Patriots, with LCU moving to 2-0 in the all-time series.
