To the Editor:
Letters to the editor since the election have been quite hypocritical. Four years ago it started when the election was called rigged and foreign interference. That is the only way that Trump could have been elected because Hillary was a lock. Clinton supporter’s were not prepared for that defeat so they ended up screaming at the sky and citing Russian interference preparing us all for the tragedy of our present election.
Liberal supporters and “anti-Trump’rs” were prepared for any red wave that may occur on this last election night. When Trump was leading in the “battleground” states, the election tabulations took a break and stopped counting for a few hours after midnight. Amazingly when the count was restarted, the lead was gone in many of the swing states. It is only right that this phenomena be investigated. If this were reversed, main stream media would be all over it. Instead the main stream media prematurely declared an apparent winner of the election.
Remember in 2016 when the elites were trying to coerce the “electoral college” members to vote their conscience and not what the states (people) mandated? Now however; all that is requested by the people (170 million +) at this time, is to confirm the election was conducted properly and there was no wrong doing. Has anyone tried to coerce any members of the “electoral college”?
The Republican Party has not lost its way, but the RINO’s have definitely abandoned their beliefs. These last four years have demonstrated a pursuit of constitutional limited government, free markets, and individual freedom the mainstay of the party, not seen under the previous administrations since Reagan.
Another hypocrisy is the financial side of the argument. Trump was rich before he became president, and he was not a politician. How many previous presidents and VP’s became rich during and after their tenure?
Trump has accomplished more than any president in my lifetime, plus he did what he said he would do. That is why I along with 170+ million people are still out there waving the flag in support of our president. Yes we are patriots and yes we respect the Constitution, and yes Trump is still my president.
