OMAHA — We’re in the midst of a Men’s College World Series featuring several vaunted lineups that have failed to put up run totals like we anticipated.
Virginia went 0-2 here, scoring five total runs in those two games. In a 1-2 showing, North Carolina scored nine runs in three games. Kentucky has six runs in two games. Texas A&M is 2-0 but has done so scoring just eight total runs.
Some of that, in A&M’s case specifically, is due to injuries. More of that phenomenon, however, is due to Charles Schwab Field playing even larger than normal thanks to[…]
