There are a few notable injury situations to be aware of heading into Sunday’s games for Week 10. Let’s dive in, starting with the running backs.
Joe Mixon is not playing again this week. That puts Giovani Bernard back into the spotlight for the Bengals, who’ll be facing the Steelers this week. Bernard has been leading the way in touches with Mixon on the shelf. He’s a good sub for fantasy this week too. The Texans will lean on Duke Johnson with David Johnson out of action. With the later on IR and out of action for at least three weeks, Duke Johnson is a solid addition to lineups.
We’ll have to wait until the last possible minute before we know whether or not Chris Carson is going to play. But it looks as if Carlos Hyde is good to go after getting in some practice time this week. Matt Breida is going to be a game-time decision. The Dolphins have a jumble of players to mix up their backfield work. Jordan Howard is the most relevant for fantasy, but that’s a stretch. And with Christian McCaffrey back on the shelf, Mike Davis gets another week as a solid starter.
Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy has been on fire lately, and even though he is listed as questionable this week, he is expected to play. Jeudy should definitely be in your lineup with a matchup against the Raiders. No Deebo Samuel for the 49ers ups Brandon Aiyuk’s fantasy value this week. The Lions will be hurting with Kenny Golladay this week. Marvin Jones will most likely take over the No. 1 receiver role, but he’s a risky play against Washington.
Speaking of the Lions, they’ll be hoping that tight end T.J. Hockenson is able to play this week. He is listed as questionable, but he was able to practice on Friday. Without Golladay, he could see an uptick in targets. Green Bay could be without Robert Tonyan. If he can’t go, Marcedes Lewis and Jace Sternberger would fill the void, with the later being a middling quality streaming option with some upside.
And if you were counting on Dustin Hopkins for your kicker points this week, you should make other plans. Washington’s kicker may not play this week.
