The Eagles have a familiar name back in running back Jordan Howard and as the team prepares to host the Seahawks on Monday night, his presence is welcome for the entire running back room.

Miles Sanders spoke to the media on Friday after the Eagles practice and he had high praise for Howard and what he brings to the Eagles running game.

The closest thing the Eagles had to a ‘thunder’ and ‘lightening’ combo last season was Philadelphia’s win at Buffalo in which the two combined for almost 200 yards rushing with Howard rushing 23 times for 93 yards and Sanders carrying 3 times for 74 yards.

“I’m happy he’s back,” Sanders said on Friday after the Eagles practice. “We could definitely use him and it’s going to make our running back room stronger and more complete, and I’m excited. I hope he does get activated for us Monday night.”

Sanders credited Howard with helping him develop as a rookie and the two will look to help get the Eagles back on the winning track.

Howard has to first get elevated from the practice squad.
